Coir Development Board
Chief Secretary, Rani George said here on that fourth edition of Coir
Fest has gained more support from exporters and suppliers. For the
first time, two Coir societies has got license for export of coir and
natural fibre products and also government is planning to expand the
license for society.
She
also told that, new products from coir and fibre will be displayed in
the exhibition and will introduce newly developed machine by Natural
Coir Research and Management Institute named “De Fiber Machine”,
which will help to produce large amount of coir from limited husk.
It will also display
products made through handicraft. Interactive session of Minister for
Revenue and Coir, Sri. Adoor Prakash with coir employees will help to
understand their problems and also future development need. In the
event their will be a national and international seminar on coir and
its developmental need by field experts, she said.
